To ensure the health and safety of the SLC community, please:

          • Follow the established protocols
          • Only come to campus if you are specifically required to (have been confirmed as having a class or needing to be there)
          • Go directly to the designated point of entry
          • Wear a mask while on campus
          • Stay home if you:
            • are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test
            • have COVID-19 symptoms
            • are at risk of contracting COVID-19

          Before Coming to Campus

Students part of the August Summer Pilot need to have completed the following steps before accessing campus.

          1. Completed the COVID-19 Health & Safety Awareness Training: A Guide for Students Returning to Campus (sent to your student email or access it here)

          2. Confirmed your acceptance of the Student Conduct Agreement for COVID-19

          3. Ensured the SLC Safe app is on your phone or device so you are prepared for the screening to access campus

Those entering the College will be required to complete online screening available through the SLC Safe app. The questions include COVID-19 symptom check, travel history, and if you have had close contact to those who have COVID-19 symptoms, or have recently travelled outside of Canada. The SLC Safe app can be downloaded from app store on both Apple and android devices. You will be required to complete the questionnaire each time you come to campus.

All students and employees are required to complete mandatory health and safety awareness training before coming to campus.

Students should limit their time on campus by arriving just before their class and departing immediately after. Faculty and staff should only be on campus for the amount of time required to facilitate student activities. Remaining on campus with no scheduled activities is discouraged. Visitors will not be permitted on campus.

          Designated Entrances

A small number of entrances have been designated for each campus.

          Physical Distancing

Everyone on campus will be expected to respect physical distancing measures by keeping a of distance 2 meters (or six feet) from others. Please follow Public Health recommendations and frequently wash your hands with soap and water or use the hand sanitizer provided.

          Cleaning and Disinfecting

SLC has enhanced daily cleaning of common touchpoints such as door handles, elevator buttons, stair rails, etc. along with other recommendations provided by Public Health. Hand sanitizer stations have been installed in key areas.

We are asking all students and faculty to wipe down their individual stations and equipment. This is an extra precaution to ensure the safety of the user.

Stay Home if You are Ill

If you are ill, or have come into contact with someone who is a confirmed case, do not come on campus or attend an off-campus activity.

Take this self-assessment if you were exposed to COVID-19 or have symptoms.

Stay home if you are waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test, have COVID-19 symptoms, or are at risk of contracting COVID-19.

The College has procedures in place to manage each of the identified situations, however, it is your responsibility to follow the steps outlined to reduce the possibility of spreading the virus.
